Many thanks for your help Paul...the links and guidance you gave have helped me resolve my issue..I uninstalled the iCloud on my pic and reinstalled from the link provided and data at last began to flow to and from my calendars to the iCloud..an adjustment or two in settings and we are away....GREAT SUPPORT, GREAT HELP AS ALWAYS...MANY THANKS AGAIN, VERY MUCH APPRECIATED

Excellent keep on payroll: FYI after I submitted the question was looking around in the options and found an option report switch back to classic and to let them know why I wanted to switch - I said I didn't like the new format. Presto, change it was restored. I am NOT sure what I did but I changed it back.

I recommend you every single chance I get.

FYI It appears only side of one of 4 discs is affected. I will get disc cleaner and head cleaner this weekend. The regional settings says 4 changes allowed and it is set to region 1 - I assume USA; other DVD's work. Tech did a great job I sent the FYI so he'd what what will happen.

With Paul's help,I was able to solve the problem after the second step. I downloaded Malwarebytes and it found seven problems that my old anti-malware program did not.

It's pretty good. I always go to them first whenever I have any kind of tech problem that I can't solve myself.

You may want to consider instituting a premier service where technicians/volunteers can provide assistance via remote access similar to Microsoft's answer desk or like Apple's technical support.-.

Tech was excellent. The problem turned out to be more serious than either of us thought. I printed out a copy of the tech initial email to me for the tech(s)n at Best Buy to see what had been tried but failed. They did a full diagnostic of hardware, tuneup and changed my browser and that corrected problems.

I learned a lot from this experience. Sometimes it pays to go to a professional tech. The important thing is the computer is fixed.
